I started reading it aloud to them and they were completely into it. My boys are very wiggly and they usually have to have something in their hands to cocupy their physical while their mental is focused on what I am reading. They were completely still...following along on the computer screen. It was one of those awesome moments that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. Thank you for finding and sharing something that is so fun and educational at the same time. What a fun way to learn parts of speech. I've a feeling this story will stick with them for a while. The resources you list through the week are wonderful. We've used many of them. The Cinnamon Bear has become their favorite for 2 years in a row now. Thank you all so much for everything you do! So this school year, when my 2nd and 4th grader started digging their heals in with grammar I thought of this little book. I printed out a few pages, did some character voices and it has been an awesome supplement to our language arts. My kids now walk around repeating meaningful lines from the books and they love listening to it. It has really made grammar a lot more fun! Thanks!
