Drawing for Beginners, by Dorothy Furniss (PDF ebook) – This classic book by Dorothy Furniss is a wonderful introduction to drawing, well written and nicely illustrated. Included are chapters on sketching from life and from your imagination, sketching people and animals, perspective drawing, drawing tools, and much more. Probably not as many illustrations as you could ask for, but the text is every bit as good – if not better – than most modern "how to" drawing guides.

I checked my download and it was 12.9 megs (which I know is close to 13!) When I opened it, the pdf said there were 224 pgs. but I only found 172, plus 8 not numbered, pgs. which is only 180 pgs. I downloaded it again and got the same thing. My first page is your cover design page. My last page is the index pg 206. Just checking. Thank you for your great resources!
Jenny, you got it all. We always try to clean up these scanned PDF files by deleting all the blank pages and endpapers, which there were a lot of in this instance.
Rule of Thumb: If the PDF opens okay for you, you got the complete file. It is only when it WON’T open that you likely got a corrupted download and need to try again.
