The Titanic Helper

April 15 is the 100^th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic. Living Books Curriculum has put together a five-week lesson plan for families to learn more—lots more. Children find it fascinating to study details of the events of that night and the fated ship. The Titanic Helper includes a copy of The Sinking of the Titanic and Other Sea Disasters, by Marshall Logan which was first  published one year after its sinking. Logan’s book gives first-hand accounts of men and women who, when faced with death, chose to save others rather than themselves. The Titanic Helper includes an audio version of Logan’s book, links to viewing Titanic today, and video footage to the amazing discovery of the ship by Jason Ballard in 1985.
