INDIAN CHILD LIFE by Charles A. Eastman(PDF ebook) - Great autobiographical story book of the authors’ experiences growing up as a plains Indian in the 1800s, detailing many of the day to day experiences, chores, games and lifestyle of Indian boys and girls during that period. A fast-moving & VERY well written account, full of outdoors lore and interesting details — with some additional stories about Indian children included. Excellent “living history” and sure to be a crowd pleaser for read aloud or history studies!

Invaluable! What a good example of truly living history, and what better way of sparking an interest in history.

Great resource. I’ll have to use this when we are studying Native Americans! My boys love that subject. Thanks!

When I try to open my download, I get a message that the file is damaged
. Anyone else get this? Or any ideas how I can remedy the problem? This resource looks wonderful!
Kimberly,
From our “Problems” page:
Occasionally, when there’s lots of internet traffic, you may get a partial or corrupted download of one of our freebies. To fix that, you’ll need to delete the file, and then re-download it a bit differently: RIGHT click it, and when you get to “save as”, RENAME the file slightly before downloading it. If you don’t rename the file, your computer will “think” it already has that file and so will try to default back to the original, corrupted version. Usually the revised name file will come through A-OK.
