Feb 18: Harriet Tubman & The Railway to Freedom

on February 18, 2009

Harriet Tubman & the Railway to Freedom (MP3 audio) – Today’s resource is this classic old time radio dramatization of the story of Harriet Tubman and her work with the “underground railroad” during slave years. This excellent half hour audio program was originally broadcast on the radio series “Destination Freedom” way back on July 4, 1948. (Note: The sound quality on this program is quite good, but still not as clear as modern broadcasts.)
