Lenten Tree and Activities Book by Miiko Gibson (PDF ebook) - Lent, which begins today, Ash Wednesday (February 25th, 2009) is the 40 days (excluding Sundays) before Easter (which falls on April 12th in 2009). For many families, Easter just happens. Don’t let that occur this year. Have a meaningful Lent by doing a special activity each day of Lent. Then fill in the fruit on the Lenten Tree Chart and countdown to Easter.

I love resources like this! I look forward to using the ideas starting TODAY! Thank you!
This is just what I was looking for. Thanks for passing it on.
I think this is my favorite resource yet. What a wonderful idea. Thank you so much!
I love it too!
This is lovely – some really nice ideas here and very inspirational. I especially like that it isn’t ‘preachy’ and that spring activities are included too. Just one thing – the actual tree is a little small for my youngest to colour successfully. A full page tree with bigger fruit would be better. But then I can just use this as inspiration and go make my own!
I emailed Miiko and thanked her for this wonderful resource.
We do not observe Lent but my children were asking what it meant and what it entailed. I want my children to know about other religions, beliefs, etc. I printed your download and will go over it with my boys so that they can better understand.
The more I am reading about it the more I’m realizing we should try this. I appreciate the info shared
Thank you
I absolutely love this! What a great way to introduce children to Lent. Thank you, Miiko Gibson, very much!
Thank you so much for providing this wonderful resource. Our family will enjoy it immensely. May the Lord bless you richly as you serve Him!
Many nice ideas for lent. THANK YOU!!!!!
I am so excited to use this book! Thank you and Miiko for sharing it!
Miiko, Thank you for offering this to us. I am excited to share it with my kiddos. We have never observed Lent, but I would love to introduce it to them for a deeper understanding of how others celebrate the gift and sacrafice of Christ.
I love how manageable this is and the idea of preparing hearts and minds for Easter. I also love the grace implied in the beginning notes of it about not being hung up on doing an activity every day and so forth. Sometimes I kill the beauty of something like this by being a “slave” to the schedule.
As a homeschooling mum, thank you so much for this resource. I am trying to make a big thing about Advent, which isn’t really celebrated in our church, with my two young boys. And I have always felt that Easter is practically skipped. This is just the sort of thing I’m looking for to add to our growing number of family traditions.
