Here’s the companion book to the HOW TO BE A MAN volume we featured earlier this week! Another wonderful vintage book of instruction and advice for girls written way back in 1845! While some of this may be quite old fashioned in this day and time, much of this well written and easy to read text is extremely good, timeless advice for growing young ladies, applicable in any age or time. Written from a definite Christian perspective. Highly recommended!

This is great. Girls need to know how to be young ladies today.
I have the hard copy of this book and I’ve been reading it with my daughter. It is an excellent book and very well written. And every bit of it applies today. It’s written in such a way that it applies responsibility on the young girls who are reading it. We are both enjoying this so much and are very thankful to Mr. Newcomb for writing this book so many years ago. And thank you Jim for offering it as a free download! Another great book is, “Noble Girlhood” written by a homeschooler. (This is the book that led us to Mr. Newcomb’s books.) This book is much better than another book of a similar title.
