Homeschool Freebie of the Day

Great Free Resources for Homeschoolers, Every Day

New Year’s Resolution: Quit Missing Out on the good stuff!

on January 3, 2009

If you haven’t joined our “Heads Up!” email list yet, know what?

You’ve already missed out on dozens of great resources and links that we sent exclusively to our subscribers in 2008… AND you’ll be missing out on a whole bunch more “subscriber exclusives” in the New Year!

If you’re okay with that, and don’t want our weekly “sneak peek” at what is coming up here at HomeschoolFreebieOfTheDay each week, that’s fine… but if what we do here is valuable to you and your homeschooling, you might want to rectify this situation pronto!

Each Monday when we send out our “Heads UP” email listing all the upcoming resources for the week, we also include a link to yet another freebie resource, exclusively for folks on our mailing list. Be sure to join now so you get the current bonus freebie, and all the extra goodies coming your way in 2009.

    Hi Carolyn,

You joined right after we sent this week’s email… sorry, you just barely missed it! You should be good to go from here on out!

    Suzanne,

You’ll need to fill out the form on the “Join Our List” page, we aren’t able to manually add subscribers from here, because you have to respond to a confirmation email in order to be added to the list.

    Summer,

Glad you are enjoying the resources… but believe me, YOU AIN’T SEEN NOTHIN’ YET!

    Welcome aboard, everyone!

I just found out about this website today (5 July). I sure wish I had known about it the day you posted the Stitchery for Girls course. I’ve been looking for something like that for a very long time. Please, please, please, will you post it again?

  10. Lori J says:

I just discovered your website and I absolutely love it. I hope you will consider running some freebies again for those of us who have missed them. Perhaps you could have one day of the week a repeat freebie? Just an idea. Anyway, thanks for the great site!!!

  11. Ginger Alford says:

I used to be on your list and have purchased several items – so, please put me back on!

    Thank you

  12. JimE says:

Hi Ginger, you can join our list at the link above… this is a different list than our Homeschool Radio Shows newsletter.

Also, folks, please be aware if you have a yahoo email account, you will likely NOT receive our emails — yahoo rarely lets our emails through. Not just ours, but a LOT of email that is sent to you never makes it to a yahoo address. You may want to try a different email address when subscribing. (Gmail is very reliable, btw.)

    Hi,

Thank you for a great website. For some reason though, I receive an occasional email notice about different things, but I do not receive the “heads up” emails on Mondays. I signed up a few weeks ago. Did I not sign up correctly?

    Thanks,
    Amanda

  14. JimE says:

    Amanda,

If you are getting some of our emails, you should be getting them all. Or, at least, they are mailed out from here, but may be getting caught in your email filters and are ending up in your spam folder.

You might also try “whitelisting” our email address in your email program, so it will always let our emails go through. Sorry for the headaches, but such is life in cyberspace — those darn spam ads always seem to make it through, but the stuff you really want never gets delivered.

To anyone who thinks this is not the kind of thing that i will put my e-mail address into, THINK AGAIN! THIS IS NOT A RIP OFF! they don’t spam you inbox, they give you the deals every week. SIGN UP NOW!!!!!!! (you will be glad you did)

  16. Naomi says:

I subscribed a long time ago and was getting notices weekly. However, the last two or three weeks I have not gotten any. Do I need to subscribe again?

  17. JimE says:

    Naomi,

We haven’t sent out our emails during Christmas and New Years weeks… they will resume this coming Monday, when we get back to all new resources on the site!

  18. Debbie says:

Thank you so much for all that you are doing for the home schoolers we really appreciate your website and love all of the goodies your are giving us.

    Thank you,

    Debbie M.

  19. Dawn says:

I signed up for the heads up–received a few and then they stopped coming. Did you quit sending them during the holidays or is there some other issue at hand? Thanks.

  20. Renae says:

Did you do away with your RSS feed? I don’t see an option to subscribe that way on the site any longer, and my reader doesn’t show any recent updates.

If so, may I ask you to reconsider? I am signed up for the “Heads Up” email, but I forget to check over here unless I see a new post in my reader. Thanks!

  21. Mara says:

My family has thoroughly loved the goodies that you’ve been providing. Thank you for everything you do and the wonderful resources you’ve been providing.

I stopped receiving the heads-up emails for the freebie of the day, as well. I don’t know what I’ve missed, if anything.

Keep up the great work!! God bless :)

  22. Kimberley says:

I filled out the survey the first time around. The incentive is SUCH a great find. Anyone wondering whether or not it’s worth the few minutes of time it takes to fill out the survey can rest assured that it’s worth every second. That special “freebie” has filled our house with lots of fun characters. Thank you, Erskine family, for once again sharing a great find.
