“Our favorite resource since i have known about your site (early summer) was the Stitchery for Girls book. i have had my 9 yr.old granddaughter here during the days during summer and she had been wanting to learn to sew for a long time (and i am not qualified to teach that skill LOL), so we learned together. Thank you , thank you, thank you! – Vicky”
Congratulations Theresa and Vicky, we’ll be contacting you via email to set up your Full Year Memberships!
Thanks everyone who has posted here during our End Of Summer “Bash”… we are just overwhelmed with your kind words and support!
Stay tuned friends… Even though the “Bash” has drawn to an end for now, we’ve got some wonderful stuff coming up for you in the days and weeks to come!

Loved the variety so far but my fav was the laundry lesson. Please keep the home ec, ebooks, etc. coming!!
I love the Goops! It’s such a fun way to reinforce good manners & behavoir. I printed it out and made it into a little book for my daughter so she has something a little meatier whenever she wants to color. I don’t have a special request for what I’d like to see, but I especially like the old fashioned advice/instuction material you put out. Thanks!!!!
We’re enjoyed “The Star-Spangled States” book the most.
Would like to see free lapbooks and/or notebooking pages here in the future.
Keep up the great work! I appreciate so much what you’re willing to do for all of us!
Lori
My favorite was the Little Strummers Guitar Course. I teach beginning guitar in our co-op and I am always on the lookout for easy to play music. I would love to see more music oriented courses. Thanks for all of the great material you have given out. Your site is the first one I check each day.
Brand-new wet behind the ears rookie here…first year and haven’t even got achance to use any of the resources I’ve gathered from you yet…
The recent title that immediately comes to mind is Cathead Biscuits and Garlic Fried Chicken.
As for future stuff, I’m having difficulty with science-related stuff for K4 and K5 – age appropriate lessons on magnets in particular.
My 2 boys really enjoyed the bird houses book. I would love to see more items geared to boys. Thanks!
Hello! My favorite freebie this summer has been “Stitchery for Girls”. I never learned how to sew by hand properly. Now my daughter and I can learn together!
We’ve really enjoyed the old time books. Topics we look for most are science/nature, domestic duties, manners/character building, and history. Okay, I guess we like everything!
Thanks for making all of these resources available!
Heather
My son enjoyed the lego videos. I like the Intentional Planner.
For future goodies, any audio stories. My son loves those.
thanks!!
Thank you for doing this website.
I think my favorite resource has been the More Goops because it also has the audio. My children’s Favorite is probably the E-I-O Song.
I appreciate the wide variety of resources.
I would like to see bilingual books i.e. Spanish and English, etc. with audio.
We have thought it over and decided a tie between Number Stories of Long Ago and the link to the Bridge building stuff. Our children are mathematically and scientifically minded and loved these, but they have also enjoyed the nature and gardening resources. We are faithful Freebie folks and are here almost every day. We would love to see more up to date resources that encourage children to stretch and do things independently. Thanks for all your hard work keeping this site going!
I am so glad I found out about this site! I recently moved back to the states and was in need of recipes to get me back to the kinds of cooking I can now do, but everything was in the process of being shipped. Thankfully, you had a download of Cats Head biscuits and garlic fried chicken. What awesome timing!! Thank you so much for all the things you offer, I just hate when I forget to come check and miss out on some great ones.
I personally liked the Stitchery For Girls – A Five Year Course & Homestead Simplicity: A Primer.
I would like to see more freebies on living simply, bringing the family back home, cooking, sewing.
My favourite is Grammar Land! It is so good and so funny.
I would like more good books for freebies, not just instructional books. My son loves to read, and I would love to be able to download ebooks for him to read. Just like Grammar land, he can enjoy reading it and learn great stuff from it, without me using it as an instructional ‘text-book’.
Thanks so much for all the cool freebies you have given out!
We loved Say Fellas!!!!
We’ve been reading it at bedtime.
Would like to see workbook type materials!:-)
We’ve also enjoyed the Goops, the book about Washington and Lincoln, When Mother Let’s Us Cook, and we have several lined up; the Guitar Course and The Pirate City!!!
Thanks so much for making them all available!!!
Only one?!!
Favorite Freebies: Doll Quilt pattern, Goops and How To Be Them (lots of smiles!), all the organizational ebooks
In the Future: How to store garden vegetables, crockpot or one-pot meal recipes, project patterns (like the bridge-building)for science-related activities, etc.
You’re doing a wonderful job! THANK YOU!!!
I love the Birthday Parties download. I always make birthday parties a big part of our year, and this is a great resourse.
As for what I would like to see more of, more activities “stuff”. I am not overly creative myself, but easily inspired. So I would like some more children’s activities for both young and old. Experiments and keeping tots occupied activities. Or even things to help keep board teens occupied.
My favorite would have to be the Learning to Play the Piano by ear book. I printed it out and using it to teach my daughter.
I’d like to see more freebies for homeschooling helps and home management.
Thanks for providing the Freebie of the Days!
I have saved quite a few of the links given this past summer and it will all be so VERY very helpful as this is my first year homeschooling my six year old! But I must say I was most pleased when I used the information given in the e-book “The Secrets of Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies Made Simple”. I really thought that I already made really good cookies, but when I used some of the tips in this e-book my husband said to me, “These are the best cookies you have ever made!” I was thrilled! Thanks! I will undoubtedly be as thrilled to use the information from all of the other e-books and what-nots for my family. What a wonderful resource!
Lots of favourites, so its hard to choose one,but love the variety of different things and the ease of use of the site.
Would like to see more art or science things if possible, but anything you share is great.
Thanks for all of your hard work, its really appreciated.
I have a new addiction…homeschool freebie website! Checking the site everyday.
Our favourite is Grammarland. follow by 5 minute mystery and audio goops.
We woulld like to see more of our favourites especially books by M. L. Nesbitt and any resources for highschoolers, be it academic or elective subjects or anything just for fun.
Thank you for doing such a wonderful job.
First, thank you for the fun freebies.
My fav so far has been the Childhood Stories of Washington & Lincoln (we’re studying Lincoln/Civil War right now so it was timely); however I missed the day with The Star-Spangled State Book and it probably would have won my #1 vote.
As for future suggestions, I have two teen & would love to see more up to date activity ideas for them. Science experiments & sewing projects are at the top of my list.
I can’t really pick a absolute favorite but we are currently reading at “Number Stories of Long Ago” book together. I have a little mathematician who adores all things math. At 5 years old I think she is going to grow up to be an engineer. LOL
Thank you for this weekend bask. We are having loads of fun with it here.
My older girl is starting to get interested in
sewing, cooking, knitting etc. Some freebies that are tied in with those activities would be awesome as well as more supplemental history related items.
I liked Goops & How to be One, Grammar Land and the cooking eBooks. I think “Number Stories” will be a favorite but we have not gotten to it yet. I missed the “5 year stitchery course” and also “Paper Sloyd”. I don’t know if my children would like th Paper Sloyd but I know that I would!
More Science experiments and high school level things would be great to see.
Blessings.
My fav freebie was the rainy day activities book and I’d love to see more fun child psycology books like the one teaching kids how to eran money and save
How can I choose a favourite? I am relatively new to watching the list, and I have to say EVERYTHING is a favourite! I personally love the links to freebies out there- but the favourites are the exclusives. I’m always bummed to miss out on one. So far my favourite was the stitchery book
Definitely, Number Stories of Long Ago; although some of the old cookbooks are fun too.
And I’d love to see more math stuff like that!
My favorite was Homestead Simplicity. For future posts I would love to see more simple, healthy living (ie cooking from scratch/whole foods, living with less, sewing/making your own, self-sufficient living etc.)
Thanks for all you give/do!
Thank you so much for the Freebies this summer — it was so much fun!! I am not sure which one to pick as my favorite since there were so many that I really enjoyed. Several that come to mind are the “Cathead Biscuits and Garlic Fried Chicken” cookbook, the various sewing instruction books and “The Secret to Homeschooling Freedom”.
I am not sure what I would like to see in the future since you have done a great job with the variety so far. I was diappointed to have missed a few, so maybe somemore ‘Treasure Hunts” for the ones already listed.
Thank you so much for all you have done and I am excited about what is coming up!!
I just loved this treasure hunt. It tops it all. I have a pre-teen that I would love to see things for her age.
I’m looking forward to the guitar book. I missed it last time around so I’m pleased to get it this time. Thanks! I’m pretty new to the site so i haven’t had the time to really explore but I’m looking forward to it.
Thanks!
Hi Jim,
I have too many favorites to pick just one, but if forced to, I’ll say Stitchery for Girls. I really enjoy any ‘old’ books but love the variety you offer. We’ve even gotten use out of “boy” stuff (I have all girls) I’d like to continue to see that same variety.
Thanks for doing the bash, I’d missed several of these.
Personally, I loved Stitchery for Girls. I have many quilt squares and other handsewn items made by my great grandmother. In this world of sergers and rotary cutters, where even “homemade” quilts are made en masse on machine, it’s wonderful to be able to pass along these hand sewing skills so that they are not lost.
I have special needs children. If you were able to find any resources geared specifically for that, I would love it. My children need very, very clear step-by-step instructions and lots of pictures. For now, I adapt your resources to their disabilities.
Thanks for all you do for all of us!
Thanks for all the wonderful resources. My favorite is “The Boiling Cauldron”.
I would like to see more Bible resources like Cauldron and the devotions for boys.
I love this website, esp. the cookbooks, crafts and the Goops. Missed out on a few things wished there was some way to get them later somehow such as the story of Time.
Future suggestions: materials for preschoolers, more cookbooks, art projects, science material, math
and stories for reading.
Keep up the good work this site has been a big blessing to our family.
My favorite was Miracle on 34th Street, but I think the Time material was a family favorite. I depends if you want what we love or what we use for school.
Having 2 graduated. a senior and “only” two more to go you think I would have enough material… but the oldest just got married! What a blessing I am looking forward to grand children to help teach, so I am stocki8ng up as it were to teach the next generation!
What to ask for now? You are doing wonderfully please keep following your heart. Worldview materials on a youth level to teach how to refute the trash being pushed in our society today.
Thanks for do what you do so well,
Theresa M.
I like the planners, recipe books and the devotionals. More of any of them would be nice. I missed the helpful herbs one and hope that one comes back!
Thanks!
This is such a wonderful resource! I have greatly enjoyed the different products you have to offer.
I am very new to this site so I cannot express what I liked most about the summer freebie posts. hoever I LOVE the concept…and of course the price. Homeschooling on a tight budget CAN be difficult at times and I am thankful for these freebies to add to my son’s curriculum some extras of such great quality. Keep posting like what I’ve seen already – varied themes and puposes, encouraging and uplifting items for kids and parents, and also the WONDERFUL quality! Thanks from a newbie!
Thank you so much for all of the wonderful freebies that you have shared with us! They have been such a blessing to our family! It is very difficult to pick a favorite, however my children and I love to cook, so one of our favorites is “The Secrets of Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies.” I would love to see any of the freebies come back, since I missed about half of them!
Many Blessings!
You mean I have to pick just one favorite? Okay, I’ll say Number Stories of Long Ago. What I’d like to see in the future is more things like that – living books (as Charlotte Mason put it) that I can use to teach my children the subjects of math, science, etc.
(2nd choice for favorite is Grammar Land. Grammar straight up can get pretty dry.)
Our family’s favorite resource (hard to choose just one)is Mother Lets Us Cook. Our dgt just turned 9 and is becoming a great little cook. We were planning on have more “cooking classes” this school year, so it was a blessing to see that resource for us to use. Thank you for all of your websites and resources.
I loved the stitchery course for girls. Thanks for offering so many great resources.
Thank you for all the wonderful freebies this summer. We have really enjoyed them!
1. My favorite would be Little Strummers because I was looking for something just like that and then…. there it was! Thanks! I also like the Stitchery for Girls.
2. I would like to see some more Home Ec type items and maybe more audio stories.
Blessings and thanks!
Tina
This is a tough one, but I love the audio song downloads for kids you had a few days ago, and the laundry e-book has been a big help. Thanks.
I love the homeschool freebies of the day! My favorites so far have been the ones on homeschooling teens and the college resource ones. As a new homeschooler beginning high school for my boys, these types of resources have been fantastic.
In the future, I would love to see more of these as well as history/geography and notebooking pages. Thanks for making these downloads available!
Hi!
This is such a wonderful ministry you have! i’m a recent member, but i’ve been very pleased with your offerings! my favorites have been the old fashioned cook/story books, and the laundry link today was fabulous!
i’m not picky…just keep up the good work!
God Bless!
Number Stories of Long Ago, Grammarland, The Fun of Cooking…I love all those books that makes ou classical approach easier! I would love tosee mre classical “living” books like those you have had in the past. Also—just wondering if there are problems with the books when people download them? I can’t see the pictures in Grammarland…we would love the pictures too. Thanks…I hope I win!!!
I love the Audios for Kids. It’s so great to have a good story for my granddaugher to listen to every day. Thanks so much.
I love all the audio stories and I have enjoyed many of the homeschool freebies — too many to choose just one!! But I must say, I do really enjoy the classic books! I have just downloaded your Stories of Time to begin our unit study/lapbooking for this month. I love the compilation of everything in one place for unit studies! Thanks so much for all you offer!!!
I really enjoyed browsing through Grammarland and plan to use it when my current group of kids is a little older. I wish it had been available for my older kids. I really like the quality and literary feel of vintage books like this. (I missed the Number Stories, but am intrigued about those, too after reading the posts.) Searching for resources can really be time consuming for homeschooling moms. I appreciate your doing some of the foorwork for us!
