Today, November 19th is the 145th anniversary of one of the greatest, shortest, and most quoted speeches in American history: “The Gettysburg Address” given by Abraham Lincoln in 1863.

Oh, those are great! We enjoyed listening to them. For some reason, the version my boys and I memorized is quite different from the one that the other kids did. So now I’m on a quest to figure out why!
I have struggled with hearing impairment all of my life and would like to thank you for posting the you tube Gettysburg Address and the words to that.It truly is the first time I have “heard” the Gettysburg address and could understand it.I am 35 and a mother to a home schooled seven year old.thank you so much for posting this. I do have tears in my eyes!
Fantastic job!!! I think it’s great that so many students participated as well as the variety of ages!! The “younger” ones—that’s super! I didn’t memorize this until I was in high school!
