Nov 6: A Curious Hieroglyphick Bible for Young People (1790)

Update: Link has been fixed, sorry for the earlier glitch! – Jim E

A Curious Hieroglyphick Bible for Young People (PDF ebook) - Originally published way, way back in 1790, this is a fascinating little book meant to intrigue and teach young readers more about the scriptures. Each page contains a selected Bible verse, illustrated in picture rebus form. See if your kids can figure them out, and perhaps create their own “picture versions” of their own favorite verses. Also contains a few poems, prayers, questions & notes at the end of the book. A real historical treasure that shows us the kind of books children had over 200 years ago. This has been reprinted elsewhere for $24, but is free this weekend here at HomeschoolFreebieOfTheDay!
